Functional Specialist Internship
Course Overview
This course requires an Accredited certification to register.
This program is a combination of our continuing education courses, shadowing master trainers and training test clients. This requires 30 hours of live hands-on course work and approximately 35 hours of homework. Students must complete all online home work before attending any live classes. For students who may have taken any part of the course in the past you will be credited for that course and discounted whatever fees you paid for it.
Classes are small and kept to less than 6 trainers at a time to insure each student really understands the information.
Course Objectives
This course will give students information they can use right away. Trainers will learn how to better understand their clients’ needs. Completion of this course will bring you to the next level of personal training.

Lesson Plan
Students will complete all online course work before attending any classes. Once all online courses have been completed the student will sign up for their internship. Students will be required to take a series of seminars. Once these courses are complete the student will be allowed to shadow a master trainer by making appointments. Once all required shadow hours are complete the student will schedule their practical exam. The practical will be 2 client scenarios that a trainer must design programs in a Q and A forum with required demonstrations.

NFPT Accredited Personal Trainer Certification
| 2 Day Hands-On Workshop | This course is approximately 14hrs (may be shorter for smaller classes) with the exam on the second day and is usually given on a weekend. The goal of this course is to completely familiarize the student with fundamental knowledge, skills, and abilities of a successful personal trainer. Students will be given study material upon registration of this course. NFPT-CPT exam sitting for certification is included but not required on-site, your exam appointment can be made at one of over 300 test sites at your convenience. Standard Rate: $629 |
| 8 Week Extended Prep Course and Practical | This course is given two days per week for 90 minutes per class or 1 day per week for 3 hours. Students will be given a manual and access to online homework and study material. Quizzes on each chapter and oral tests will be given throughout the course. Standard Rate: $950 approximately |

Computer Distance LearningThe NFPT has been certifying personal trainers since 1988 and offers a certification credential that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). NCCA is a 3rd party governing body whose function it is to set and regulate certification standards. Adherence to these standards identifies quality programs to candidates and the public as they represent certification credentials which are legally defensible and validated through appropriate protocol.
